“[She] will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design” Psalm 1:3a (TPT)
As officer women, the desire for a holy community that extends both before and after the Territorial Women Officers Retreat comes from deep within the heart of Commissioner Donna Igleheart.
Every woman officer is invited to be part of a prayer circle. YOU are invited!
The objective of each prayer circle is simple: praying together and praying for one another, and in so doing, allowing the Holy Spirit to do His work in, among, and through us. “So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well.” Phil 1:9 (MSG)
Chris Tiegreen says, “But what if prayer isn’t a transaction? What if it’s a conversation in which the seeds of our desires and visions for life, many of which have been given by God, are discussed and considered and left to season for a while? What if prayer is more like planting seeds in the soil of God’s Kingdom, where they are hidden for a time but have the full potential to grow, bloom, and bear fruit if someone waters them, fertilizes them, and cultivates the right conditions for them to grow?”
May each prayer circle become fertile ground as we gather as one, allowing the Lord to let our love for one another flourish, and as we together discern God’s will and draw prayer circles around those things that concern us. As Mark Batterson shares in ‘The Circle Maker,’ “the goal is glorifying God by drawing circles around the promises, miracles, and dreams He wants for you.”
“God sent me to announce the year of his grace—
To care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion,
give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes,
Messages of joy instead of news of doom,
a praising heart instead of a languid spirit.
Rename them “Oaks of Righteousness”
planted by God to display his glory.” Psalm 61:2-3 (MSG)
Each prayer circle, made up of women officers from around the USA Southern Territory, will look different, but we desire that the prayers and the community of each circle will display His glory. May each circle be a safe space, a place where we dare plant our roots, and where the relationships formed may grow and bear fruit, as we together approach the throne of God with our prayers and petitions.
